General terms and conditions of business

Conditions of carriage:The general tariff conditions, price lists and officially authorized conditions of carriage (as displayed) are integral parts of the Carriage Contract. With the purchase of a ticket, the traveller acknowledges the following provisions and undertakes to abide by them. Members of the “Montafoner Bergbahnen” operate their respective cable cars and lift installations as well as ski slopes and routes at their own liability and on a legally independent basis. The acquisition of a ticket for the “Montafoner Bergbahnen” ski region entitles the traveller to use the ski regions covered by the “Montafoner Bergbahnen”. The actual carriage contract is only with the cable car or lift company whose installations or ski slopes and routes are used by the traveller. Any liability regarding travellers, whether contractually or legally, for incidents arising out of the operation and use of the cable cars and lift installations or ski slopes and routes shall only therefore be exclusively assumed by the cable car or lift company, in whose ski region the incident occurs. No other “Montafoner Bergbahnen” lift companies shall be liable. IS is required for all special prices. All cards, other than points cards, are non-transferable. Improper use of tickets shall result in withdrawal without compensation. Please follow the instructions of cable car and lift staff.

Carriage of children on chair lifts: children under 1.10 m tall must be carried on the lap of an appropriate adult. Children between 1.10 m and 1.25 m tall shall only be carried on a chair lift seat if the next seat is occupied by an appropriate adult.

Ticket system/photos: all tickets shall be issued on touchfree data carriers. For Montafon season tickets a photo is required. They are taken at the cash desk with a digital camera and your picture is added without additional cost.

Mixed price: A pro rata price is calculated in cases where the period of ski ticket validity starts and ends in two seasonal periods.

Advanced purchase of ski passes: ski passes may be purchased in advance from 14.30 on the day before your first day of skiing.

Card exchange, card replacement and card loss: exchange, extension or deferment of validity is not possible. No replacement of lost ski passes.

Refunds on ski passes: only in the event of a serious accident will a partial refund be made on a Montafon ski pass less an administration fee of EUR 7.50 on production of a certificate from a doctor practicing in the Montafon (may be sent later). Refunds are made from the day on which the ski pass is produced to a cable car cash desk or the offices of the “Montafoner Bergbahnen”. If passes are produced before 10.00 that day will be refunded! No replacement for accompanying people or for early departure. Operational failure, operational interruption or operational limitation in particular for storm, mist, road block or lack of snow, shall not entitle to any refund.

Refund on season tickets: in the event of a serious accident, the amount of refund shall amount, on application before 31.1.2014 to a maximum 30% of the purchase price. For season tickets valid longer there shall be no refund!

Parking: between 19.00 and 7.00 there is a strict ban on night parking so that snow clearance can take place. Those parking for longer will be allocated special parking places. We assume no liability for damage to parked vehicles.

NB: when operations close, account must always be taken of avalanche explosions, piste machinery, snow-making machines and so on.

When there is new snow: the Golm ski region endeavours, with acknowledged success, to offer you the best piste conditions on a daily basis. However, when there is new snow it is not always possible even making full use of piste machinery, to clear all pistes at the same time. And in some weather and snow conditions the new snow does not bind well with the underlying snow. When first skied, the new snow can form humps. This is not attributable to defective piste care.

Skiing accidents: in the event of ski accidents please make as accurate a report as possible to the next lift station or alarm point. The telephone number for piste rescue is on the information block. Use of the piste rescue service will involve a charge.
